You need only five ingredients to prepare this two-colored Raw Coconut Roll recipe. This raw and sugar-free coconut cacao delicacy will surprise you with its delicious flavor!
Yields: 32 – 35 pieces
Time: 1 hour preparation time, 12 hours resting time
FOR THE WHITE DOUGH
100 g coconut flakes
100 g wet coconut flakes (let soak in water for 5 minutes; then squeeze out the water through a sieve)
80 g melted coconut oil
about 30 g agave syrup
FOR THE BROWN DOUGH
80 g wet coconut flakes (let soak in water for 5 minutes; then squeeze out the water through a sieve)
160 g coconut flakes
6 tablespoons raw cacao powder
400 g dates, pitted
4 tablespoons melted coconut oil
80 – 100 g coconut flakes
Mix the coconut flakes in a food processor. Add the coconut oil, and then add the agave syrup according to taste.
Put the white dough aside in a bowl.
The food processor need not to be washed before the next step.
Mix the coconut flakes and the raw cacao in the food processor.
Gradually add the dates to the mixture.
Finally add the coconut oil.
Spread the brown dough evenly on aluminum foil, making it a rectangle shape about 25 x 36 cm and about 3 mm thick.
Spread the white dough evenly on top of the brown dough.
Then carefully roll up both of the doughs together, so that you have a two-colored roll.
Wrap the coconut roll in aluminum foil. Let it rest overnight in the refrigerator.
Remove the foil and roll the coconut roll in coconut flakes.
Cut the roll into 1 cm thick pieces.
